The Perfect Retro Combination - Danish, Orange, Brown and Stoneware

I love the combination of a bright orange glaze with brown stoneware (textured even better). The Danish potters and potteries of the mid 20th century took this combination to a whole new level of design perfection. These pieces haven't dated at all.

My favourite is the large bowl by Ulrik Lundbergh-Ebeltoft - which I haven't been able to find anything much about, except that it is Danish. Kahler is a very well known pottery with a long family history, and Lehmann made some lovely pieces in these colours - as did Michael Andersen and Sons.
