Auction Watch 13.2012

My heart jumped into my mouth when I saw some of these pieces coming up for Auction this week.

There are a large amount of Wiinblad pieces - both Nymolle and Vaerksted Studio, including the first 4 images of the most breathtaking pieces of Wiinblad I have come across.

I don't know if I will be able to afford many (or any!) of these as the estimates are quite high understandably. Each of the season figurines which are in superb condition are estimated at $320-$480. They are quite large too at about 30cm tall.

Very cute little Holmegaard Gluk Gluk Bottles - probably around $60 the lot

 There is a large bay lot of Rosenthal plates, plus some separate ones
like this one by Wiinblad - not mad about this design though.

Marimekko Vintage - which  can go for astronomical prices
Who knows?  Estimated $50-$80 but more like $280.

I've noticed that Children's books are becoming
such a hot item in the past year or so. This set of
"Golden Books" is impressive. Around $80.
