Inge Lisse Koefoed - 2 pieces

Well that flew!.... a week gone in a blink. Easter was a bit grey here mostly, but great weather for being outside. The weather is now settling down to the stunning Autumn weather that is normal for this time of year. Love it.

I've had these photographs of 2 very different pieces by Inge Lisse Koefoed for Royal Copenhagen c 1960's for a while, so before I forget about them again, here they are.

The first is one of my favourite series of designs, and what I think of as typical Koefoed patterns - bold, clear and beautiful. It is pattern No. 138 on shape 2878.  I've seen the large bowl in this design a few times before and it is just a stunner. These bold geometric patterns by Koefoed tend to go for much higher prices than other patterns from Royal Copenhagen/Alumina of the same period. If you are in Melbourne I notice that Twenty21 has a superb gourd vase by Koefoed in a very similar design.

The second is a cute little jardiniere, which you wouldn't pick as a Koefoed design if it wasn't for her cypher. It is pattern no. 432.

  1. I can see a sweet little cacti in the jardiniere!
