2 Bold Fajance Designs

I think it was last week I picked up these 2 very bold Royal Copenhagen Fajance designs. I hadn't seen them before. The first by Johannes Gerber and the second by Beth Breyen.

The colour on the first piece by Breyen is such an intense violet blue - and amazing colour. On the Gerber piece I love how the design has been carried over the edge of the bowl - adding interest to what otherwise can be a very "blockish" and plain shape, especially in the larger sizes of this range...a pity this technique wasn't used more often, it adds so much more interest to the design.
