I come across small pieces of Selsbo Keramik from time to time. Always beautifully made, smaller stoneware pieces. This lovely textured, cylindrical stoneware vase was in the small bay lot of items I purchased at auction on Monday.
Selsbo Keramik operated from 1957-1996 in Simlångsdalen, a small town in Sweden. It was founded by Aage Rasmussen Selsbo, who was employed by Tallhöjdens Stoneware before starting his own pottery "Selsbo Ceramics". It was a small pottery, making a variety of utility and decorative items - (although I have only seen stoneware pieces)
Aage Selsbo died in 1996 - but from what I can gather the pottery may still be running as a gallery/store.
