3 Stunning West German Vases

I didn't expect at all to end up with these 3 lovelies from auction yesterday, as I just but in an absentee bid not expecting anything, but was surprised to find later in the day that I had got them...you just never know your luck with auctions

Each is very different in style and technique, but each impressive in its own way. Each one is the perfect size too - not too big, not too small!

Scheurich West Germany - that glaze is superb, and the intense crimson red like makes it look
like an oil painting of a vase if you know what I mean.

Still trying to identify this one - it is handmade - but the stamp has been covered
by the glaze - my first thought was West German, but now I'm thinking Italian.

A beautiful piece West German - By Dümler & Breiden. The "chattering"effect on the bottom half is a
characteristic D&B decorative technique.

  2. Dümler & Breiden are a West German company, to the best of my knowledge.

    1. I think you are right...Not sure why Im think it is East German. They were in the Höhr-Grenzhausen region but Im not quite sure where that is.
