Auction Watch 29.2012

There is a lot more "traditional" style pottery and china ware coming up this week....which is not the sort of thing that I usually buy. There are one or two desirable pieces for my tastes though - like the lovely Arabia Finland "Pastoralli" platter below. There are also 2 lovely Clarice Cliff pieces....but out of my league in terms of prices.

On the topic of Clarice Cliff.....In the film/documentary "The September Edition" about the putting together and publishing of the September edition of Vogue USA (2009?) which has a big focus on Anna Wintour - I was taken with the amount of beautiful Art Deco Clarice Cliff vases that Anna Wintour has in her New York townhouse, and in her office. (Not the reproduction Wedgwood stuff I guess either :)

into a chest of draws (with the suitcase as a lift out drawer)
