Auction Watch 30.2012

I'm experiencing Danish Pottery withdrawal currently, there just isn't much around here at the moment, but I did manage to find some lovely Dybdahl pieces online which I will post on here with some other information when they arrive all the way from Denmark!

For now though plenty of non-Danish pieces at 2 auctions this week which took my eye.

What a great shape for a genie bottle! (Blenko?)
An Arabia pattern I don't recognise
I love the Carlton Ware Blue "Royale" Series - especially the hand painted
designs like this blue one.
A lovely old Royal Doulton setting - Art Deco by the look of it
Such a great design - It is an old Art Deco Era "Envoy" Tureen
the pattern and shapes are exquisite on this series.
Another Carlton Ware Royale - stork bon bon dish
Wade (England)  "Whimsies" - not the sort of thing I would buy
but very cute and you can see why they are so collectable.
A few nice West German shapes in this group.

Shorter & Sons (England) Pineapple

What an amazing old photo album - full amazing photographs and postcards

Carlton Ware Rouge Royal Cake Stand

P.S. - The website that I started up as the Price Guide - will be offline a few more weeks - I just haven't had time to get it back together when I moved providers...and have had to completely change the template....but what I am doing is making it more of an information or resource centre and fact file repository as well as a photo album with large number of makers, patterns, signatures etc etc. Stay tuned.

Also, a big thank you for in increase in readers making small donations lately, and a big increase on ad clicks - it all adds up to help pay for my huge broadband, Internet and Electricity costs! ( I don't know about other countries but here in most states of Australia electricity costs have spiralled out of control - an increase of up to 56% over 4 years without any real justification and no sign of slowing down)

  2. Always love seeing your pix of items up for auction! The Arabia piece is the Vegeta pattern by Esteri Tomula; I've only ever seen it on the enamel pieces she decorated for Finel, it's lovely on ceramic as well.

  3. Just having a peep before bedtime. The blue Royale Carlton Ware looks very alluring and dream like. I'm not quite sure about the clicking today as I can't see any ads to click on. Are your Ebay items counted. I've clicked just in case. Oh and noticed that you sold a Midwinter Creation Jug on Etsy - wonder if the buyer needs matching saucers...
