This is one of the auction lots in the auction watch last week I managed to buy. I didn't actually look that closely until I got it home, but I really do love the design of it. It is from Temuka pottery in New Zealand c 1970, and called Riverstone Stoneware.
It is so very 1970's and reminds me quite a bit of Arabia Ruska - although an ochre colour. It is also a such a great design - just look at the shape of that coffee pot - up there with the best designs of the 1970s I think.
Each piece in fact is really well designed - and I have never seen a better fitting lid on a sugar bowl than on this setting - it sits snugly and perfectly.
The Temuka pottery is still going and has a good history on their website along with some images of Riverstone merchandising.
