20th Century Decor

There is a 20th Century section in a local auction being held here this weekend, which I had almost forgotten about - as the items were not ready for viewing when I put together my weekly auction watch, but I went today and had a look - a few very desirable pieces - especially the first 2 gorgeous lamps in the same design.

These 2 lamps were made by Royal Copenhagen/Alumina - with an Inge-Lisse Koefoed design. As well as the Alumina mark it is stamped to the base Fog & Morup - the iconic Danish lighting company, so they were obviously made for part of the Fog & Morup range.  They are both large pieces, but the second one is just HUGE - at about 1 metre tall.

The other standout 20th Century pieces in the auction are the 1950s furniture items below, in IMMACULATE condition - The sofa setting is such an amazing looking and beautifully made set of furniture. I'm just gobsmacked that something has been so well preserved - but even if it has been recovered - orignal fabrics have been used. I love the colours of these pieces.
