A Magical Midcentury Glass Bowl

I picked this up at yesterday's auction, along with the very retro Woods coffee set I have yet to unpack.

I'm not sure of the maker yet, but it seems to be mid-century, probably European. It has the most beautiful and hypnotic turquoise hues radiating out from the centre of the base, fading to clear nearer the top....outstanding clarity too.

.......Always love photographing coloured glass, it makes the most amazing images.

  2. Hi Ray,
Have just discovered your blog and am so engrossed in it that an hour flies by before I'm aware of it. This is a lovely piece of glass and one of many terrific finds you've made. I'll need to check in every night to get my fix now - you have such a fantastic range of pieces. I collect Scandinavian china, textiles, glass, ephemera etc but am a babe in the woods as far as knowledge goes so reading all your information is a painless way for me to learn! Regards, Sue
