A very modernist looking stoneware fired candle holder or small sculptural piece, unglazed and quite roughly texture clay - looks to me Scandinavian, although there are no markings on it to indicate a maker.
Looks to be early 1970s or late 1960's. There is a very similar one in another shop nearby which is huge, and has a face on the top section, (but it's quite expensive - and just too heavy except to put in the garden)
