Auction Watch 35

Quite a curious mixture of vintage pieces this week....

An electric jug - by an early local Adelaide Pottery - Kosters
I remember us having these electric kettles in our house when I was
a child - often furiously boiling all over the place because they had no
cut off switch of course. Quite number of people
collect them now - some great colours and patterns on them.
More early Australiana - this time a Kangaroo on a tea tin - a bit
too worn for my likes though - although this doesnt seem to effect
their value ever.

Quite a cute carnival glass hen basket
Not the sort of thing I would buy as I don't know enough about it, and which pieces are of value
-  but I quite like this carnival glass with a Kookaburra design. Anything with a Kookaburra
on it seems to attract buyers and collectors

A very way out looking retro lamp base - the colour
is a little boring - Imagine it in Red or Orange! (but then
it would go for twice as much!)

I quite like these 1950s Czech Tea Sets - above and below.
They are very fine and delicate bone china - and were  imported in large
numbers into the U.K, and Australia after WW2 when British China was
quite dull, colourless and heavy in general -( due to War shortages.)

There are a large number of these Aboriginal style pieces this week,
always popular amongst collectors - This one seems to be of nice quality.

Now that's a nice looking West German Vase

A lovely Art Nouveau era British J&S Copper Tea Caddy

A lovely size and pattern on this WG piece, but such
a boring colour!
