I didn't end up with a large amount from auctions this week, but did managed to pick up 3 very nice part dinner sets. The first is this lovely simple design from Royal Copenhagen, by
Anne-Marie Trolle designed in 1975 - not sure when it went out of production.
Smart, simple forms and decoration. A bright white glaze finished with deep blue banding The bowls have a lovely motif in the centre and they are such a fantastic shape - I wish more bowls were made in this form, as it turns them from something ordinary into a very versatile and interesting object.
Anne-Marie Trolle also designed two other sets with similar shape forms around the same time - Domino White and Domino Brown.

I couldn´t agree more. The shape of the bowls really is fantastic. Probably one of the reasons why Domino won the gold medail in 1971 at The International Ceramics Exhibition in Faenza, Italy.

Happy New Year to you

Hi Birgitte, thank you so much for that quality information..It was designed earlier than the date It is generally attributed to then...so far ahead of its time in terms of design. I found an image of the teapot on an old ebay listing...it is superb too. Have a wonderful New Year, Ray.
