Auction Watch 50

Quite a nice selection to chose from this week including some lovely Danish pieces I have found in 2 auctions coming up this week - My favorite though is the "chook" teapot from Minton - such a character piece.

A beautiful Berte Jessen combined wall plaque/candle holder I've had before.
When cleaned up the colours are outstanding on this piece. A nice
large size too.

A few pieces of Wiinblad, including plaques, a vase and bowl

Quite a nice shaped Genie bottle

Royal Copenhagen soup tureen - I have this one already though.

Quite a jazzy looking retro 1950s or 1960s water set

I Love this really way out Minton limited edition chook teapot! So much character.

The photo doesn't do this lovely Copenhagen, Kari Christensen piece justice.
Such a lovely and elegant bowl or platter.

You might remember the black rose dinner set I had late last year from KPM -
well this is a coffee set in the same design - but with green leaves in addition to the black rose.

Classic and collectable  Iitalla Candle holders
Another very over the top and quite bizarre teapot, jug and sugar bowl from Minton

  1. That's a lot of beautiful stuff! I especially love the black and white Wiinblad (I collect the monthly plaques) and the Ittala Festivo candlesticks. My mom has a few of those that I drool over every time I visit.

    1. HI there, yes I noticed on your blog the Wiinblad month plaques. And yes, those candlesticks are just such a classic. I've noticed with the Wiinblad plaques too, which I could pick up for $40 or so for a full set a few years ago are now getting over $130 or more...a whole new generation seems to have (re)discovered them :)
