2 Danish Stonware Studio Pieces - Mystery

I have 2 pieces of  Studio Pottery which I can't read the names of. I am hoping someone might be able to either read or recognise the signatures.  The first one obviously Danish, starting with an "S" the second one may be Swedish even. Both have wonderful texture and glazes, but very different in style. Lovely pieces regardless, but I always feel better once I know from who's hands a piece came:)

Selsbo perhaps??

    1. Oh no! :) Lets hope someone recognises them - most eventually get identified. By the way you have so so many FANTASTIC things in your etsy store at the moment, I wish I could find more smaller things like you have done!

    2. Thank you, Ray! I think I constantly think in weight when I´m buying for the shop. Most of my customers are from USA, Australia and Asia and weight matters when shipping. A very good excuse for keeping the larger items for myself :-)..../Birgitte

  2. Hi Ray,
it says Waldorff Svaneke on the bottom of the second bowl. I have a dish from that pottery, so I have looked a bit into it. Here is a link with a a little story about them in Danish:

    1. Hi Karen!, so good to hear from you again, Hope all is going well.Thank you so much for that link, spot on. I love the glazes on their pottery. So strange sometimes what pieces end up here on the other side of the world from such small potteries. Ray

  3. Hi Ray, your first piece could be from Sejer Keramikfabrik. I´ve seen other pieces from them in a similar style. Sejer was a Danish pottery situated on Funen. Unfortunately it´s difficult to find out more about them. They´ve made some really lovely pieces. Kind regards, Maike
