A West German Collection

All of a sudden I have an instant collection of West German vases which I bought at auction this week. There are some really lovely and out of the ordinary designs amongst them, and the colours are just fantastic. These are the more interesting ones out of the group:

Scheurich - love the combination of Lava glaze at the bottom and those bold red rings!

Scheurich - a captivating decor.

...and again Scheurich - what a classic West German look.

I think this is just great! A piece by Bay Ceramic

Probably made by Jasba - but not confirmed yet.

Quite an unusual decor for a West German piece - maker not yet identified
UPDATE! - Thanks to Pippa who recognised this as from New Zealand, by Crowne Lyn -
What a journey it has had over 40 or so years - New Zealand > Denmark > Australia!

There is an awful lot happening here! a very bold and bright ashtray, maker not known

  1. Ashtray love! The unknown pot above looks very similar to a pot I had identified as New Zealand, same leaf motif! I will go through my posts and find the maker name for you! :)

  3. Wow! I absolutely love that first piece. I've bought a couple of pieces of Scheurich lately, and it's fast becoming my favorite West German pottery company.
