Auction Watch 57

Running later than usual for this week because of a public holiday here tomorrow which means a very busy week coming up with everything condensed into 4 days instead of 5, and then on Saturday and Sunday there is a huge vintage book sale which usually has some real vintage gems.

On Tuesday, in one auction there are a large number of lots of Figgjo Lotte from a huge dinner setting which has been split up into smaller amounts - hopefully I can get at least one of them....although they will be going for high prices knowing Figgjo.

Many other interesting items though which I would love to get my hands on too :)

A few items of a lovely looking Rorstrand pattern

A "Gaudy" Welsh teapot -- great pattern.

These Japanese fish dishes and teapot are very cute.  I don't see much of this mid-century
Japanese pottery around any more sadly.

That is quite a nice colour range of Australian made ramekins - Martin Boyd

This Wade piece really took my eye. Such a classic 1950s design, and
a great shape - but when  I went to look at it on Saturday
I noticed quite a lot of stained crazing.

Methinks Bitossi.!......altough listed as something else. Looks like
a small chip on the rim possibly.

Now there is a very intense blue - retro water set - some still with
original labels.

Love it! A Wembley Ware (Australia) Lustre dish with fish head

And the last 3 photos - just a few of the 10 or so lots of Lotte!
It all looks in great condition too.

  1. That Australian fish head dish really made me smile. Lovely piece :-). And a lot of other goodies as well. Good luck with your bidding.
